We've been busy updating the club records feature.
The old version simply read a spreadsheet the club uploaded and displayed it in a table, on the club app and on the club website (powered by connectMyClub). The new version is database driven.
To get started, your club uploads a spreadsheet, there's a sample spreadsheet to download from Inform > Club Records. When you re-upload it, AI mapping lets you check and assign the columns. From there, records are editable directly on the club portal.
Here's the best part: when a member runs, swims, cycles, jumps, or throws in an event and logs it in the app, if that performance is a potential club record, it'll be flagged on the club portal automatically.
For clubs that already had a spreadsheet in the system, we've downloaded it, edited where necessary (there were some interesting spreadsheets), and re-uploaded it to create your records.
In the coming app update, club records will be visible again as separate male and female tables, much cleaner than before. If the person viewing the records is female, the app will show the female table by default, and vice versa.
We've archived all the original spreadsheets, so if you spot any anomalies, let us know and we'll sort them.
We hope the new system helps you keep track of your club's records more easily.
